Built on an award-winning legacy, the all-new Guide ISO, now with the brand’s ISOFIT™ dynamic upper, sets the pace yet again with a more finely-honed fit and feel - WALTHAM, MA (October 31, 2017) – Over the past decade, the multi-award-winning Saucony Guide has served as the undisputed benchmark for runners seeking light-to-moderate support in a highly flexible ride. Making its world debut at the 2017 NYC Marathon, the all-new Saucony Guide ISO, now with the brand’s exclusive ISOFIT™ dynamic upper, is once again setting new standards for its blend of engineered stability, flexibility and step-in plushness. Among the lightest shoes in its class, the all-new Guide ISO represents Saucony’s relentless commitment to elevating the running experience through proven performance innovation.
The Guide ISO is now available at select specialty running retailers globally and will be available at the Saucony booth at the NYC Marathon Expo at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, November 2 through November 4.
“With ten generations of proven running experience behind it, the renowned Guide has become an icon in our performance lineup,” said Pat O'Malley, senior vice president of global product for Saucony. “With every rendition, our intention is to extend its legacy with a runner-focused approach. With a full-length EVERUN™ Topsole, now combined with our ISOFIT™ dynamic upper, we’re certain that the Guide ISO will be the shoe of choice for runners seeking underfoot guidance in a highly flexible ride.”
The Guide ISO features the brand’s exclusive ISOFIT™ dynamic upper, an ultra-soft, inner fit-sleeve crafted out of stretchable air mesh that morphs to the foot for a sock-like feel. A floating support cage sits like a saddle over the fit-sleeve, cradling the midfoot and adapting to the foot’s size, shape and movement, allowing the shoe to respond to the individual runner’s gait throughout the run.
A brand new engineered mesh upper not only provides enhanced breathability, but is stronger and more flexible than standard mesh. Engineered mesh, both strong and flexible, helps to support the foot yet provide an incredibly dynamic, adaptive and fluid fit that moves with the runner’s every step. A woven wrap adds additional structure and support around the heel area.
Saucony designers upgraded the midsole compound to PowerFoam™, an injected molded compound that is lighter and 50% more responsive than the SSL™ EVAfeatured on the prior Guide model. Additionally, the ride of the Guide ISO is further refined with Saucony’s EVERUN™ Topsole construction for enhanced energy return and continuous cushioning throughout the run. A medial posted midsole provides an effortless transition with every step while the shoe’s TRI-FLEX™ outsole delivers the optimal blend of flexibility and protection.
Since the original debut in 2008, the Guide’s award-winning heritage includes being twice named the Independent Running Retailers Association (IRRA) “Shoe of the Year” as well as Runner’s World “Editor’s Choice” and Runner’s World “International Shoe of the Year.”
The Guide ISO is now available at www.saucony.com and at select specialty running retailers in men’s sizes 7-13, 14, 15, and 16, and in women’s sizes 5-12. The Guide ISO is also available in width options. The suggested retail price of the Guide ISO is $120.00.
The Guide ISO will also be available at the Saucony booth at the NYC Marathon Expo at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, November 2 through November 4.
