The Ride has been the worker bee of the Saucony neutral shoes, dependable and efficient. The upper features an open air mesh, with traditional synthetic leather overlays, a roomy forefoot fit and lacing options that allow a snug fit in the heel.
The midsole has an 8 millimeter drop, geometry that can transition lower while offering better efficiency than a traditional 10-12 millimeter drop. The Powergrid compound offers a reliable blend of resiliency and responsiveness, here for the first time in the Ride. The outersole is XT-900 carbon rubber in the heel with injected iBR+ in the forefoot, proven and effective for good durability in the heel and a bit of added cushion up front. The key takeaway is that the Ride is a high mileage trainer that delivers good performance.
