Run Fast is as much a motto as it is a name, for Reebok's reintroduction to serious high performance running. The Floatride Run Fast Pro has made some waves because it is an ultra-flyweight racing shoe that provides a surprising level of cushioning, and has an eye-popping price tag as well.
The upper is a very thin layer of engineered mesh, welded overlays - though with just enough structure, a plush feeling ankle collar with a smooth interior, and secures with standard flat laces and a conforming lace throat that wraps the foot securely over the paper thin, perforated tongue. The midsole is a low profile polyamide (pebax nylon) foam, very light but resilient and durable. The outersole is a cross-hatch of polyurethane, which has both durability and great grip. The sum of the parts adds up to a raceday rocket which is protective and super light.
Testers: “Snug but comfortable fit, like track shoe but with more to it. The lightness is noticeable, but it protects as well, how? The performance is amazing!”
