The Endorphin Racer 2 updates the lightest of the light racing shoes from Saucony. The upper, similar to the debut model, is a waffle like mesh which is very thin but also tough enough to keep the foot contained. Sparse but sufficient sueded overlays support the foot along with the durable mesh.
The midsole is two parts, the forefoot is all EverRun blown TPU, the heel traditional EVA foam, and the zero drop geometry keeps you close to ground. The outer sole is a tough and thin layer of rubber with low profile lugs to give sufficient grip and the negative space provided from the triangular holes in the rubber adds to the traction as well as lightning up the shoe. It's purpose is obvious when lacing them up, and the responsive protection provided by the EverRun foam will be reflected in the race results.
