The Zoom Streak LT 2 is a shoe that has been through five rounds and two names, but with one message: quality technology and performance, at a bargain price. The midsole and outersole continue as before.
Cushlon LT is lightweight and quite durable as a midsole foam, aided in its task by a Zoom Air bag in the heel, and a small, stabilizing, midfoot shank. The outersole is BRS 1000, tough carbon rubber with a good grip in the forefoot thanks to its mini-waffle pattern, that makes it versatile enough for roads and cross country (its old name was XC for a reason). The upper features the real changes to the Streak LT 2. The forefoot is engineered mesh for effective breathability, the rearfoot closed mesh for support, a newly designed overlay incorporating the logo stripe supports the midfoot without any real addition of weight. The ankle collar continues as before, with just enough foam for comfort and a sueded interior for barefoot use. The net effect is a lightweight, versatile and protective racer, that offers much more value than the price indicates.
