The Fusion is one of the most versatile road shoes in Karhu’s running line. Version 3 is once again a legitimate high mileage running shoe, a re-launch of the Fusion concept. The upper is an engineered mesh, breathable over the toes and arch, with reinforcement at the toe and a sturdy heel counter maintaining rearfoot integrity. The midsole features the brand’s Fulcrum midfoot solution to wobbly feet, a second density which runs under the medial and lateral arches to keep the foot aligned. The road grade EVA midsole is durable enough to forgo carbon rubber over two-thirds of the sole, while offering good traction. The shoe doesn’t lack a sturdy feel, and the measure of the scale reflects that score, however, for the features and structure, the Fusion 3.0 performs very well, in all departments.
