The Peregrine has a long history in the Saucony line, and with that history comes the misty eyed wishes of a particular favorite model. So, let’s take a look at what we’ve got in round 13, which is a really good trail shoe. The upper is a closed mesh, a successful setup which has worked well in previous versions of the Peregrine, fused support taping merging two meshes into one. The midsole is PWRRun foam, protecting the foot while conforming to the surface, managing road to trail equally well. The outersole continues to feature the full-length assortment of chevron shaped lugs, with the heel and forefoot lugs reversing each other for grip and propulsion, offering effective control and confidence on the trail. The amalgam of components continues to provide efficient trail performance.
Testers: “Light, nimble, and grippy. Like 3,2,1, Go!” and “My best piece of trail gear. Put them on and go.”
