The Waverider introduced the Mizuno Wave plate to runners. The Precision is a new shoe, for 1998 which introduces the technology to uptempo running. Oh, it does just fine at slower speeds, but shines as the tempo picks up. The upper features a lightweight mesh with synthetic overlays for support. The midsole is foam with Mizuno’s Waveplate in the heel adding its cushioning to the ride. The outersole is carbon rubber in the heel, with softer rubber up front for traction and toe off.
Testers: Protective, durable, and effective, this midweight is perfect for daily runs at a variety of paces.
