The breadth of a running shoe line is determined by its focus on performance. Vimazi has taken aim at all paces on the roads, and now adds models for the trail. The Z3 Trail, one of two shoes designed for natural surfaces, is tuned for road to trail running. Because the roads are unforgiving, there are 6 Vimazi shoes tuned to the pace – but the trails are gentler, being unpaved and uneven, so there are only 2 pace tuned trail shoes. The Z3 features a breathable mesh with fused overlays, a close fitting heel, and a generous forefoot. The midsole is tuned to adapt to rocks and roots as well as groomed trails, though not specifically for steep ascents or descents. The outersole is an effective luggy profile, with a layout aimed at traction. The running is protective and responsive, well suited to its purpose.
