The 1010 Trail reaches round two with the same performance orientation intact. The open mesh upper of the original is replaced with a tight weave, rip-stop fabric with welded overlays. The curved shape is retained, reinforced with a toe bumper for added protection. The midsole is the same four millimeter geometry, but they’ve added an extra millimeter of foam for better cushioning and protection without adding much to the weight. The outersole is the same podular arrangement of rubber with a material upgrade, to the sawtooth tread that successfully manages trail and road, so it is now more durable. Fans will find the update as efficient as before, and runners looking for quick trail performance will find it here.
