The Nimbus 25 introduced a new profile for one of ASICS’ franchise shoes, joining the Tall Stack trend initiated by a French founded footwear brand. The Nimbus 26 is a fine tuning of the new profile, with the meticulous approach of the designers in Kobe, Japan. The upper features new tailoring of the meshy design of version 25 with stretchy knitting in the tongue and vented portions over the toes, and with new lacing loops snugging the forefoot fit. The midsole features the same combo of PureGEL and FF Blast in heel and forefoot, with improved slimmer sculpting of the foam making the ride a bit more responsive. The outersole is full-length on the lateral side with forefoot and heel only medially, offering improved traction, thanks to Hybrid ASICSGrip, a new outersole formulation. The performance is, as expected, because it is the Nimbus, give it a spin and see if it is the cruiser you have been looking for.
Testers: “Good rolling ride, a little slimmer than last year. Overall, a good responsive feel to the shoe.”
