Updating Nike’s “Science Experiment” the Cesium 2 picks up where the original left off. The upper takes a cooling option to an open mesh, minor improvements to the lacing, and a brighter appearance. The midsole tooling is similar visually, to both the Pegasus and Vomero, while maintaining the Cesium learnings to direct the foot without the firm medial post. The outersole features carbon rubber in the heel, with blown rubber in the forefoot – effective if not unique. The Cesium approach may be a solution runners are looking for, but the proof, as the adage says, is in the pudding, in this case putting your foot in it and taking a spin around the block.
