Xero is among the longest running zero drop shoes, dating back to 2009. All of their shoes are zero drop. The Mesa Summit is their trail equipped model, designed for the trail experience with a bit more protection that their other models. The upper is a durable closed mesh, fully lined, with a lightly padded tongue, welded reinforced eyelets, and tough welding at the toe as well as the vamp. The outersole is directly attached the sole, with a thin rock shield and a lugged sole for outstanding traction. If zero drop and nimble traction is on your wish list, the Mesa Summit is worthy of consideration.
Testers: Great traction, tough sole, but gives you total feedback on the trail.
Roomy fit with good toe splay.
