The Sequence, which replaces the Supernova Control, features a new last and tailoring that finally work for medium- and low-arched feet. The upper is open mesh with a good meas- ure of support, including a lightweight EVA-and-mesh tongue that keeps the instep secured without uncomfortable pressure and a memory foam ankle collar to ensure a snug fit. The midsole features a broader forefoot that stabilizes the foot better than previous versions, while maintaining the flexibility and ride for which adidas is known. This includes the provenFor Motion cassette, a healthy dose of adiPrene cushioning in the heel and forefoot, and the effective (and unobtrusive) ProModerator medial support. The combination of fit, cushioning, and stability make the Supernova Sequence the most versatile of the Motion Stabilizing shoes we reviewed, and the category winner.
Testers: “I like the way it just glides from the heel to the forefoot. It is very stable, but doesn’t overpower the foot. Overall, I liked the fit, the cushioning, and the quality.”
