The Vapor is a new shoe from adidas, which is a bit of a niche shoe, but has the potential to attract cult status. It is one of a swarm of new lightweight racer/trainers that are new for spring from a variety of brands. The fit is very snug without the traditional opening, but looser than the monosock fit of several shoes from recent past years. The compression molded EVA and adiPRENE cushioning combine with adidas’ Feet You Wear design and low profile outersole provide a ride with a cushioned but active feel of the road. It worked well for a variety of medium and long distance runs, as well as longer races.
