The Experience Form is the second shoe of Altra’s Experience series with an eye towards runners with a little wobble in their step. The upper is a closed mesh over the heel and vamp with a vented tongue, a smooth lining, and cushy lobes beneath the ankles to improve the fit. The forefoot is foot shaped, Altra’s forte, with plenty of room over the toes, and secure lacing completing the fit. The midsole is the same as the neutral Experience Flow, but for a firmer density at the top of the medial midsole, to nudge the footplant into alignment. The outersole is a framework of tough carbon rubber in the forefoot and lateral heel, differentiated from the neutral Flow’s outersole by additional stripes of tougher grey rubber on the medial side. The roomy forefoot, durable sole, and bouncy supported midsole offer a fit and ride worth experiencing. Just Sayin’.
