Mount Timpanogus (known by locals as Mount Timp) in Utah inspired the original version of the Timp, designed to face the rugged terrain. Round 5 continues the series of well cushioned, zero drop, high traction trail tamers. The upper features a breathable mesh in the forefoot, with a durable closed mesh rearfoot. The interior has a smooth lining to effectively manage friction. A midfoot internal strapping system secures the fit by integrating with the lacing. The midsole returns to a traditional setup, here Altra EGO Max, though retains two densities – firmer in the rear and softer in the forefoot, losing the forefoot midsole wrap of round 4. The outersole is much the same, in function, though with some adjustment to specific lugs throughout the sole, giving them a smaller and more adaptable profile. The fit and function continue as before; a reasonably light trail shoe to get you where the trails take you.
Testers: “Bright, comfortable, and great on the trails.”
