The Via Olympus 2 is the first update to Altra’s superstack shoe, the Via Olympus. The upper is a reliable workhorse, not flashy, but it gets the job done by its accommodating roomy Altra fit, along with a plush interior and a smooth finish, combined with good support. The midsole is a tall slab of Altra Ego foam, especially in the forefoot due in part to the zero drop, but adds even more extra comfort by using an EVA Strobel board and a generous polyurethane footbed. The outersole is spare, but with enough rubber for durability, without additional weight. If Altra has been a part of your rotation, and you’d like a little bit more, give the Olympus 2 a try on and see if it’s what you’ve been missing.
Testers: “Roomy but secure, with plenty of bounce. Zero drop, fits my foot well. Ticks the boxes for me.”
