The Gel-Kayano has been the ASICS showpiece for the better part of a decade. Round VIII, shows the seriousness, as Roman Numerals tend to highlight epic events. Here, ASICS unveiled a new technology in the Kayano, called Twist Gel, it is a radially designed element which allows the foot to be cushioned and directed simultaneously. Practice on the Kayano has allowed the entire ASICS line to elevate to its oft experience top step of the podium – so to speak. The remainder of the known elements of the Kayano remain, as does the expected experience of stable, high mileage running.
