The Magic is a new racing shoe from ASICS, designed to be light (7 oz.), flashy, stable, and protective. The upper is a secure design, supported by sueded overlays and several lacing options, thinned out to save weight (remember the 7 oz?), with shiny silver stripes providing the flash. The midsole is compression molded EVA, with a second density medial post – small but effective, for those in need of a bit of stability – others merely pass over it without incident. The outersole is blown rubber in the forefoot – adding a bit off cushion to the toe-off, with duo sole traction medially and laterally
