You know that ASICS covers the cushioned category very satisfactorily with their “cloud twins” the Gel Nimbus and the Gel Cumulus. This season they’ve shoehorned in the Gel Praleus to add a little variety. Wear testers were pleased/surprised at the trio of choices, as the Praleus offers subtle differences to the other neutral ASICS shoes. Of course the protection afforded by ASICS Gel cushioning is evident, and the Praleus is very well done with a comfortable interior and deluxe upper. The midsole is well cushioned, affording protection expected of a good trainer. The outersole is durable carbon rubber, where needed. Overall the Praleus ticks the boxes of a high mileage shoe.
