The Zapata is a new shoe from ASICS which takes a departure from the rest of the line-up. The upper is a breathable mesh, with synthetic overlays for support, as with the other running shoes from the brand. The outersole features the expected traction and durable wear from its carbon rubber makeup. The midsole makes a departure from the line, as it is molded polyurethane, with a little extra weight from the foam, but a more stable ride for larger runners. Something for everyone is a worthwhile motto, and a practical solution.
