Since the introduction of the Epiphany, the Glycerin has moved to a supporting role in Brooks’ line-up of cushioned shoes. The addition of e-1 to the midsole/outersole has improved the cushioning and durability, while the ride remains consistent with that of earlier versions of the Glycerin. The PU innersole and S-257 Strobel board play important roles in the overall feel of the shoe. The upper is well ventilated and the fit is consis- tent with the usual Brooks tailoring. Because the Glycerin is built on Brooks’ Universal Platform, a last that accommodates a broader range of medium-arched feet, many neutral-gaited runners can benefit from the cushioning the Glycerin 3 has to offer.
