The Glycerin has been the Flagship of the Brooks line for more than 20 iterations, and the new Glycerin Max takes the series to another level, both literally and figuratively. The upper is a plush engineered mesh with the same luxe feel of the Glycerin line, that fits well, breathes well, and generally pampers the foot for miles on end. The midsole is Brooks tallest shoe, at measured 45 millimeters, with a one mold, two part midsole with two densities from the supercritical foaming process. The outersole is a tough carbon rubber compound which is pared back to just fingerlike strands which cover the forefoot and heel of the shoe, offering a tough, durable and efficient grip. The ride is well cushioned and the tuning of the midsole densities provides a lively and protective ride, for long miles and recovery runs. The Glycerin Max is a welcome addition to the Glycerin family, and may become a favorite of yours.
Testers: “This is a great shoe for recovery and for cruising your easy days, though it can pick up the pace when needed.”
