The new Hyperion Tempo is a shoe designed for tempo runs, quicker paced runs, or even daily mileage for the fleet afoot. The upper is a perforated, slightly flexible mesh, that holds its shape for support, while flexing well with the foot. The midsole features a new compound in the Brooks lineup, DNA flash, which is a supercritical foam. As we’ve seen before, this type of foam is light, durable and flexible – splitting the difference between firm and bouncy. The outersole is a thin layer which covers only the forefoot and heel, with varying heights of its tiny lugs keep the weight down while offering good traction. Overall the Hyperion Tempo delivers a high performance ride that is resilient, efficient, and protective.
