The Outrage was a versatile shoe from Brooks featuring their latest technologies. The upper of polyester mesh and synthetic suede was effective in managing moisture, a smooth interior reducing friction, multiple lacing options allowing for a variety of footshapes. The Hydroflow cassette, was a versatile cushioning system. A second density in the heel, designed to stabilize inversion of some runners’ footstrikes without intruding on those with a neutral gait. The carbon rubber outersole provided a good combination of durability and traction. Overall it was a solid running shoe for the time.
