The Speed Demon is the lightest racing shoe in the Brooks line. Made in Japan, with their long tradition of handmade craftsmanship, the lasting and construction is both precise and aesthetically pleasing. The upper is a woven polyester, laminated foam between a woven poly blend – the old school technique from the early Onitsuka shoes of the 1960’s. The midsole is sheet cut EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate), similar to the shoes from the mid to late 1960’s/1970’s; lightweight and protective, but with a limited effective lifespan, so keep them for your fastest efforts.
