Etonic’s cushioned shoes have had a difficult time gaining acceptance by runners looking for serious performance. Perhaps the Zeta will be the one to break through; it certainly merits serious consideration. By using a foundation of EVA, Stable-Air and ICO for cushioning, and a substan- tial innersole that provides additional cushioning along with a touch of stability, the Zeta offers neutral-gaited runners a cushioned ride that maintains a bit of road feel. The upper is an airy mesh with high-fre- quency welded overlays keeping things light. One of our weartesters commented, “Very durable, nice low profile, good squish but they could use more bounce.” The fit works well for many high-to low-arched feet.
