If you’re designing a shoe for the man who has won the New York Marathon back-to-back, you’re not going to take it lightly. The Silva trainer is the product of that effort. The upper is a close fitting design which is familiar to runners who have dipped a toe into the shoes of the Italian brand. Lace loops secure the foot with a cushioned tongue to improve the fit. The midsole features pods of visco-elastic polymer “pucks” enclosed in visible bubbles of transparent polyethylene. The pucks do the work, the polyethylene cell shows it off. The outersole is carbon rubber adhered to the cells in an effective partnership. The ride is by turns, protective and propulsive. Just ask German, he’ll tell you to get some Fila Zapatos Parra Correr.
