Nike’s React foam has been well received by a large variety of runners, and the Odyssey was one of the primary beneficiaries, receiving a major overhaul from it’s dual density midsole to single density React foam with a TPU support on the medial edge. Round 2 continues with the same midsole configuration and a focus on a new upper. Flyknit’s success on the Vaporfly 4% and Epic React has reinforced its acceptance in other shoes, and here features its stretchy and supportive fit combined with welded overlays in the saddle to lock down the midfoot. As with other Flyknit shoes the close fit has its fans and the rest, so give it a try before you decide its merits. The bouncy ride and close fit make it comfortable for mid to moderate mileage, though the experience will determine if it’s suited to your foot.
