This time out, the Pegasus sports a number of changes that combine to improve its overall quality. The upper has a combination of HF welds and overlays to support the midfoot in an extended saddle. The innersole is a dense foam with a TPU shell that is much more supportive and better cushioned than the innersole previously in the men’s model. (The women’s version retains the well-cushioned women’s-specific innersole.) In the midsole, the crash pad and full-length airsole have been maintained and now the airsole is encapsulated by the most significant change: a new layer of polyurethane called Rideliner. The Rideliner and EVA Strobel board really enhance the overall cushioning of the shoe. The cushion and support highlight why the Nike Air Pegasus garnered our Best Renovation award.
Testers: “Gotta love the Peg, this year it’s great. Cushion, fit, price, done!”
