The Roadrunner joined Nike’s lineup as a reasonably priced model that could get the job done. My collection ended up with three different pairs (and one for my wife) over many hundreds of miles as my personal collection of running shoes went to pay the rent (adulting is hard). I always had at least 4-6 pairs of trainers in the rotation, and the Nike Roadrunner was key to the many miles needed to run my best.
