The Windrunner was introduced in the late 80’s as a lower cost running shoe to run with the Pegasus. The shoe found its stride for several seasons in the early 90’s, and was a shoe of choice for the half marathon, at least in my book. The features were similar to those found in the Pegasus, encapsulated Air in the heel, mesh upper, waffle sole in the forefoot, full-length carbon rubber, in short a reliable shoe for fairly high mileage. Oh, it looked pretty good for casual wear as well, all at a moderate price.
