Notace Yama 1

image

Notace is a new, zero drop brand of athletic shoes, for walking, court sports, and trail running. The Yama 1 is their trail to road option.  The upper is a closed mesh that breathes well, wicks moisture, and provides a supportive fit, while allowing the toes to splay. The midsole is pelletized eTPU foam, which provides a nicely cushioned ride with the benefit of zero drop geometry. As with all zero drop shoes, running mechanics ideally shift the runners’ form from heel striking to a more forward strike, smoothing the stride while strengthening the kinetic chain.

Testers: Enough foam for protection, without losing a feel for the trail. Good traction, roomy for the toes, and a secure fit. Worked well for our local foothills.
