The Faas shoes have developed along a continuum of geometries for speed or cushioning. Round 2 of the FAAS 600 features a light but cushioned feel, splitting the difference between the two ends. The upper is closed mesh, fitting snugly in the heel with a forefoot that is wide enough for good toeroom. The midsole is low profile but with adequate cushioning, the Ortholite insole and EVA Strobel board adding cushy layers to the mix. The outersole is spare, with rubber only the high wear portions, the remainder is road grade EVA. Overall the shoe fills the bill for moderate mileage, faster runs, and a good backup shoe that handles most of your road shoe duties.
Testers: “The fit was good, nice and snug in the heel but with roomy enough for the toes. A light ride, that worked well for faster runs.”
