Reebok Floatride Energy Grow

The Floatride Energy Grow is a new shoe from Reebok with a unique twist. The shoe is all about performance, but is made from all renewable materials.  The upper is polyester without the harsh dyes, found in some textiles used for shoes, with overlays made from the bark of eucalyptus trees. The midsole is a pelletized foam made from castor bean oil, which provides a somewhat firm and resilient bounce rivaling their best performance models.  The outersole is a textured and toothy natural gum rubber, toughened to quite a durable durometer, which offers grip as well as a good measure of durability. The combination of performance and renewable materials is a win/win with the Grow.

Protective, firm feel. Roomy forefoot pairs with a snug heel fit and a secure midfoot. Very well done for a daily running shoe, and one with a light touch to the environment, bravo.
