The Floatzig 1 takes a cue from Reebok’s archive, reviving a concept from 2010 and updating it with recent materials and developments. The upper features airmesh over the toes to vent, a matrix-like rearfoot textile holds the shape, and fused overlays keep it light as well as supporting the foot. The midsole is a visual throwback – Zigtech design, but substituting Reebok’s pelletized midsole foam with the Zig configuration providing good flexibilty. The outersole is a durable full-length synthetic rubber, a lattice configuration gives comparable durability of slab rubber but with improved flexibility and lighter weight.
