Saucony has taken the Static Racer through an update with a different look but retaining the “technically oriented racing flat,” we originally reported. It continues to offer the essential features of the original: high quality EVA, which provides cushioning throughout the midsole, enhanced by a heel GRID cassette, thin, tough carbon rubber, and a durable high traction forefoot of spongy urethane sole material. With the Static II, racing shoe options are as broad as ever.
